Open House for Newcomers!
Sunday, January 29th, from 1pm to 3pm
For every performer in the lights, there is at least one volunteer somewhere in the shadows, moving scenery, changing costumes, handling props, calling cues, building and painting scenery, sewing and finishing costumes, and handling the myriad of chores necessary to get the show to opening night. If you think you might like to get involved, come talk to us at our Open House!

Phoenix Productions
Musical Theatre in Red Bank and Lakewood, NJ
Phoenix Productions is a non-profit community theatre organization based in Red Bank, NJ.  We recreate your favorite Broadway musicals in full scale revivals at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank and the Strand Theater in Lakewood. Thanks to the advantages of these newly renovated Broadway-sized theatres with professional stages, we can mount extravagant productions with full-scale sets, costumes, lights, and orchestra -- all at less than the cost of parking in Manhattan.

Open House for Newcomers!

Sunday, January 29th from 1pm to 3pm at the Phoenix Rehearsal Center
Putting on a Phoenix show requires the time and talent of dozens and dozens of volunteers. Singers, dancers, actors make up about three dozen. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. For every performer in the lights, there is at least one volunteer some-where in the shadows, moving scenery, changing costumes, handling props, calling cues. And even further back in the shadows are the people who build and paint scenery, sew and finish costumes, and handle the myriad of chores necessary to get the show to opening night. Some of these jobs require specific talent and experience. Others require skills quickly learned from more experienced veterans. To be sure, Phoenix has an army of people who work on our shows. But there is always room for more – and we welcome newcomers. If you think you might like to get involved – on stage or in the shadows, come talk to us at our Open House for Newcomers on Sunday, January 29 from 1pm to 3pm. Tour our Rehearsal Center, talk to other volunteers, many of whom began their involvement at some past Open House. Can’t make that date? No problem. Just drop us a note at volunteers@phoenixredbank.com.
