Camp Phoenix Open House

Do you know a child or teen who loves to perform? Come meet us on Saturday, April 25 from 11am-2pm to find out more about Camp Phoenix! See our brand new facilities, meet some of our staff, and find out why our program is one of the best! Whether you are a returning camper or deciding your plans this summer, we'd love to see you.

New Camp Phoenix offerings for 2015 include full day sessions, after care, and a brand new intensive program for teen. Our Triple Threat Training program is unique. This is the only program that can offer the experience of training with the professionals who cast and produce the Phoenix shows you see on the Count Basie stage!

The Open House will be held at our NEW Phoenix Performing Arts Center at 59 Chestnut Street in Red Bank (across from the Armory). Ample parking is available on site.

Ribbon cutting

After two years of negotiating, testing and endless red tape, Phoenix acquired its new home last October. Then came six months of dust, dirt, and reconstruction as we turned what was once a tobacco warehouse into the Phoenix Performing Arts Center.

So, on May 8th, it was time to celebrate. And celebrate we did, with a ribbon cutting followed by an evening of merriment entertainment, food and drink. It was a tough road, but well worth the trip. Future Phoenix performers, volunteers and patrons will enjoy the fruits of our labors.

Now, we will begin a new chapter in Phoenix’s never-ending saga with a variety of goals to accomplish. In addition to our main stage productions at the Count Basie Theatre, we will begin work on a new black box theatre, for smaller and more intimate plays. We would like to jumpstart two new programs: a Children’s Theatre and a performance group for seniors.

If you would like to contribute to our new home in anyway, your service would be greatly appreciated. There is a wish-list on our website,, that is always looking for donations. There are also a few ways for you to get your name etched into the walls for years to come. Check out our website for these opportunities to be explained in greater detail.

A standing ovation for all of the people who, throughout the process, helped us realize our dream. We would like to notably recognize Martin McGamn, ESQ, Geoffrey Brothers of Brothers Commercial Real Estates, Michael Simpson of Some Architects, Shawn Manning of Seeview Remodeling, and Richie Snedirer. We could not have done it without them and we owe them a great debt.

Laughter is on its way with Spamalot

Opening in a few short days, Monty Python’s Spamalot, is ready to fill the Basie with the roar of PG rated laughter.

Beginning November 14th and running through the 23rd, Spamalot– the show lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, SPAMALOT- retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people.

Call (732) 747-0014 to get your tickets before it is too late!!

If side-splitting laughter is not enough, did we mention the bevy of beautiful show girls?
