Phoenix is more than great shows. Each year we provide teaching and learning opportunities for hundreds of craftspeople, on both sides of the footlights. With the establishment of the new Phoenix Performing Arts Center there is a whole new world of opportunities to explore.
The arts build cultural bridges, fostering community and understanding. At Phoenix Productions in particular, we enjoy our reputation as a Phoenix Family, building relationships that cross generations and span decades.
As proud as we are of or work over the past 29 seasons, we know there is room to grow. Our vision for the future is of a multi-faceted community arts center with programs that include:
- Mainstage productions at the Count Basie Theatre
- A schedule of smaller works in our own “black box” studio theatre
- An outreach and community engagement program bringing live performance to seniors and other who cannot make it to the theatre
- A children’s theatre series
- A comprehensive theatre education curriculum through the Rising Star Academy.
You have the power to make our impossible dreams come true, now and in the future.
From our humble beginnings in 1988, Phoenix Productions has grown in size and stature among the community theatres of New Jersey. We are, and always have been, a volunteer organization. Despite this, our box office routinely takes in only about two-thirds of the cost of producing the high-quality shows you enjoy.
Your gift to Phoenix Productions makes it possible for us to bring the magic of live theatre to 20,000 of your neighbors each year. And there is more. Our new Phoenix Performing Arts Center will allow us to operate a black box theatre, grow the Rising Star Academy and continue to produce Broadway-quality shows. You can help us accomplish these goals by making a gift today.
In return, we offer a variety of benefits that will connect you with our extended Phoenix Family. Please review the contribution levels and associated benefits below to determine which membership level is right for you!Your contribution to Phoenix can make an important difference in our future.
