Costumes
Phoenix's most urgent need is for individuals who can sew, although we also need individuals to help with arts and crafts tasks such as hot gluing, decorating, etc. Furthermore, Phoenix has an extensive costume collection and is always in need of volunteers to help maintain the collection and help with the logistical aspects of renting out costumes. Lastly, Phoenix is looking for hairstylists to work with wigs. Any and all who are interested may contact Lindsay Wood.

Set Construction
Phoenix is always looking for individuals with good carpentry skills to build scenery from lumber, foam, muslin, etc. Set construction usually takes place in the evening and on weekends with a fully experienced set construction. Interested individuals may contact Scott Naef.
|
Rafflers
Phoenix conducts raffles at each of our productions and is always in need of rafflers to help support our fundraising activities. Raffling is a great way to help Phoenix and each raffler gets a free ticket to the show they volunteer for. Note: Rafflers must be at least 18 years of age. Those who are interested may contact Melinda Wagner-Rosen.

Donations
|
|
Our modest ticket prices cover only about 75% of our expenses. To balance our budget, we depend on a grant from the NJ Council on the Arts and donations from corporations, foundations, and private individuals. Yet that merely balances our budget; it does not fund our dreams.
Our current facility has served us well, but we have outgrown it's confines. We are currently considering options which include an addition, a new building on the same site, or a move to another site. Once realized, this will begin a new era for Phoenix Productions -- from a theatre company doing main stage shows to a theatre company with a multi-faceted performing arts program including:
- mainstage productions at the Count Basie Theatre and Strand Center for the Arts
- smaller works in our own black box venue
- an outreach program of traveling shows
- children's theatre
- senior theatre performing group and
- a comprehensive musical theatre educational curriculum.
If these dreams seem worthwhile and exciting to you, we welcome your contributions to help make them come true.
Your contribution to Phoenix can make an important difference in our future. For example:
$100 will pay for one of the 400 costumes we use in our productions each year.
$200 wil cover the cost of our phone bill for the month.
$400 will fund a scholarship to send a deserving youngster to our summer camp.
$500 will pay for one of the 40 musicians who play in our orchestra during a season.
$600 will pay for the traditional cast party we host every opening night (and we'll invite you to attend).
$1000 will help fund a set designer or costume designer for one of our shows.
$2000 will cover the cost of a director or musical director for one of our productions.
$3000 will pay for all of the materials used in constructing the scenery for a typical production.
Phoenix is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
